Building or Buying a House?

Last month my sister started building her house. This is her second house. The house where she and her family live is old but she had it many times renovated. Since she has already experience in building a house, she knows already where to buy the construction materials so, her experience makes it easier for her. She has to buy everything from nails to roof materials. She has to pay the workers in weekly basis. This is a three-story house, the floor area is approximately 300 square meters. It is quite big because she has a big family. At first she plans to move on April but sometimes the construction stops because of the weather. The weather is not cooperating, it rains all the time, so maybe she can move on May or June.
Building a house is not easy. Aside from the expenses, it is very stressful. If ever I wanted to have a new house, I would ask the specialists and contractors to build it, they are the real Builders. I don't need to hire architects, structural engineers, and workers. From general building to minor works, the interior accessories like bathroom, cabinets and kitchen, I will leave everything to them. I would rather buy a ready-made house where I could immediately put the furniture and other stuffs than stressing my self, buying materials and watching the workers all the time. No more stress. Hassle-free.
Are you planning to build a house? Plan wisely.

About this Blog

I make this blog for foreigners who will live in this country, THE NETHERLANDS. Foreigners who are engaged or married they have to learn a lot of things about their new home like the culture, architectures, landscape, government, dikes etc. Especially the Dutch language which is very important in their social life. It is very difficult if they cannot communicate with other people. Most people speak Dutch, only few speaks English.
For visitors and readers, this will give you an idea what this country is. This small country ranks no. 5 in the economic stability in EUROPE. Their architectures like palaces, castles, dikes, ports (air and sea) are amazing.
Their culture is very interesting.
